Upgrade to 8.1 was a disaster

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 from 8, and so far it is a disaster. The first problem I noticed was its failure to use my 2 monitors. I have 2 Dell monitors that I have used for several years. It seems to recognize both when I try to set their screen resolutions, and even appears to display apps on both (since they are in the task bar), but one of them remains stubbornly blank.

The other problem is its incompatibility with Juniper Terminal Client Services, which my employer uses to connect to their networked virtual machines. I get a message that "Juniper Terminal Services Client has stopped working." It also fails using Chrome and Firefox. The problem is clearly with Windows 8.1.

I'm looking for a way out of this mess. Any suggestions as to how to resolve the above issues, or how to reinstall 8 (or even 7) without losing all my installations, would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Marty

I would do two things. First, make sure you have the latest driver for your video card. It's likely either an Intel, NVidia or AMD driver.

Second, uninstall the juniper software and make sure you have the most recent version and re-install. Checking Junipers site, it looks like you need to know which device you're connecting to so you should contact your IT department to make sure you get the correct version.
