After updating to Win 8.1 I'm overwhelmed by Windows default folders stuck everywhere - in My Computer (excuse me - This PC from now on...), in Explorer, in the tree in Open/Save dialogs and so on.

It's just enough for me to have my favorite folders under "Favorites" and just have my drives icons/shortcuts under "This PC" as I don't use Windows default folders normally.

It there any way to achieve this?

Customization is everything... At least in OS :)

Thank you for the link. I was hoping someone would find a way to get rid of those folders and this worked perfectly.
