Win8 or Win8.1?

I'm very happy with Win8 & have recently gone through a painful factory reset & repair job. Is it really worthwhile to upgrade to 8.1 with the possibility of more problems, (even though it's free).

Personally, I like Windows 8.1 one better since it has many new features that make it easier to use. Here's some info about them to help with your decision.

Thanks Brink, I love your tutorials by the way. Yesterday I was able to get rid of some corrupted files by using your Dism...RestoreHealth tutorial. I would never have been able to get rid of them otherwise. Keep up the brilliant work!

If you find usefull to have a search that works do not upgrade

For me windows 8.1 made only slight improvements in the facets of the os that I work with on a daily basis. However, I also take it as a service pack, hopefully improving and fixing myriad deficiencies found since birth. For instance, I use the weather app daily and I now see a stickpin at my location on the radar map that was not there before. I guess it doesn't take much to keep me happy!

Plus, it will be mandatory sooner or later anyway. so why not go with the flow?

I'm seeing too many little sticky issues out here post 8.1 upgrade. Maybe not huge or earth shattering but enough to make me hesitate. I'd sit on the sidelines awhile, watch things, and see how it shakes out.
