Will let you know how it goes if it ever finishes, microsofts servers must really be bogged down

    Win 8 64-bit

I don't have time to mess around with it at the moment, but I've just had a quick look and it appears all upgrade links lead to Windows Store, where it downloads and installs automatically?

So, are there any links to a direct download where I can just download the update file, so I don't have to download nearly 4GB of update on every machine?

I'll have to go and have a look, not long switched on, but I thought the date was the 18th so I wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow.

Successfully downloaded from store on two computers, total time for download and install about 2˝ hours. No problems encountered. Searching for updates after install has taken 15 minutes, thus far nothing has downloaded, servers slow there as well.
