Thanks, I'll have a look at these suggestions this evening.

I think this is still a flash/browser issue, though. Full screen AVI/MKV video looks fine.

Have you fixed this problem? I am experiencing exactly the same with my Dell touch screen monitors

You need to start your own topic. Metro/Start runs off of Javascript, ActiveX & Html5. If you are going to view Youtube videos and the such, view them from the Desktop, not from the Metro apps.

You can also set Youtube up to use html5 instead of Flash. Also keep in mind that not every video is going to be top quality. It all depends on who shot the video, what device they used to shoot the video with, or if the video is one that was copied off of say a recording or ripped from a prior youtube video.

Thanks, I do however watch them from the desktop and not from the Metro apps. I googled my problem and came out on this forum :-)

I don't think it has to do with the quality from the video, the quality is perfect when it's small but when you use full screen then somehow the colors are washed up and it's really bad to watch ;(

It has the same problem with every YouTube movie, so also the Full HD 1080 movie trailers.

I just installed Windows 8 Pro on a new machine. I carried over my HD7970 from my old Windows 7 machine. I had absolutely no issues with audio in Windows 7, but Windows 8 has been a huge pain in the ass. I have two displays, an HDTV connected through HDMI and an older LCD connected via DVI. ...
