Win 8.1 Pro Preview / Continuous In and Out of Hibernation

My laptop running 8.1 Pro Preview continuously goes in and out of hibernation every 3 minutes or so. Occassionally a reboot with solve the problem, but if I step away and the screen saver comes on the hibernate cycle starts up again. Very annoying. Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Lisa

I don't recognize your problem. It must be very annoying indeed.

Maybe wait until this Friday and download the official Windows 8.1 update when it's being released? It's only 4 more days. So that's doable ain't it?

Hello Lisa, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Check to see how many minutes you have set in your advanced power plan settings for hibernate after. It sounds like you may have it set to 3 minutes instead of however minutes you wanted instead.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks guys,

I checked the advanced power settings and I have hibernation and sleep set to never. So I think I'll wait and download the 8.1 release in a couple of days. Thanks for your help!!!

    Lisa,

Does this only happen when it goes into screen saver? What happens if you turn screen saver off?

If you like to rule out it it's hibernating or something else, disable hibernate for now to see if it continues to happen afterwards.
