Process always restarting itself after closed

when I close "Communications Service" it always reopens.

Is it safe to end this process, or is it needed by windows, and if it's safe to end it how can I disable it for good?

Can you provide a bit more detail about why you are trying to close that service and why you are attempting to do same? BTW, I can't see your screenshot.

I'm trying to close it because it takes up 5-10% cpu and I don't even use it, I just need a way to disable it, I honestly got no idea how to disable this one particular process. The process is "LiveComm.exe" Screenshot: Screenshot by Lightshot

My research tells me that Livecomm.exe is associated with a "messaging app" of sorts; however, I can't confirm that because I'm not an apps guy but you might want to look for a metro app associated with messaging and either disable it or try uninstalling it. In fact, I don't have that executable running on my computer so there must be a way, and as you can see, I have uninstalled every possible app on my own rig. Good luck.

That looks like a likely suspect to me... Go for it and see what happens if you are not using it! Good luck.

    I found this:

what is the purpose of Livecomm.exe and Skydrive.exe - Microsoft Community

Looks like it erupts from a Tile App.

Thanks, I just uninstalled the metro wall app, it was the only way to finally get it to quit running

That's interesting, I've never seen a Tile App interact with the Desktop. Ill have to take note of this.
