    Can't optimize Recovery


    Defrag says Recovery is fragmented, but will not optimize????

    Interesting: I just forced a defrag of C: from cmd and then ran defrag on Recovery and now it is 0% fragmented. Another Windows thing I guess....

    EDIT: WRONG. I did another analyze and it says 16% fragmented. What a bummer.

    I suggest to turn on scheduled optimization.
    I have mine set for weekly.
    You might want to set it for daily for about a week.

    The recovery partition is for the exclusive use of the recovery system. It should not be modified in any way for any reason or it may not be able to serve it's intended purpose.

    i agree,i would leave alone , a slightly fragmented drive is the a big issue any way

Windows 8.1 won't optimize the C drive in Performance & Maintenance

Solved optimize defrag in Performance & Maintenance
I notice I have the C: in the desktop and have reserved besides the C: in the laptop. Does this mean that when I try to recover an image to the desktop containing only the C; I won't be able to? I only have one partition or drive in each.
