Hi,
i have installed windows 8 on vmware. This is my "master copy" with preinstalled software. Now i want to copy this windows to my laptop or another computer pc. Is it strongly recommended to use sysprep before copy? I will not use a few copies at same time so i'm not afraid of SID conficts. The other thing that sysprep do is ripping off drivers. But this also shouldn't be a problem as win8 should reinstall drivers on first run on new hardware.

It depends. I've seen drivers that crash the system when run on a different computer, so Windows never gets a chance to reinstall anything. However, that's probably a pretty rare case.

I would just go ahead and use sysprep, just in case you end up with a situation where you're running two at the same time. You may not plan to today, but in the future it might happen, then you will wish you had just taken the extra few minutes to do it.
