Solved My pc is set to second screen only function accidentally!

On my windows 8 pro ,While checking dual screen properties i checked project to second screen only function and my pc automatically searches for second screen but i dont have second monitor activated.There is no display of desktop and background like functionless.I cant see anything!

When i reboot the computer i can see upto windows logo and then screen is dark! I guess the display permanently shifted to second screen which i dont have!

Having a great problem! How it can be solved! Please note that my monitor displays nothing!

Try unplugging the monitor. Plug it back in.
If that doesn't work, unplug monitor, turn off PC.
Reboot, let Windows load (allow a few minutes), plug in monitor.

Press and Windows key and the P key to bring up the monitor select screen. You won't see it but it will be active. Then press the down arrow key once and hit enter. That should switch it to PC only. If it doesn't work the first time try the whole procedure again.

I didn't even know that function was in there, that may be another solution for my "Black Screen of Deth" problems - Thanx a lot, I'll try that next time I get a BlackSOD PC.

It's available in Windows 7 too only you arrow right and left instead of up and down. I only use one monitor when I game so I have shortcuts on my taskbar for "PC only" (single monitor) and "Extend" (dual monitor).

I've never gotten the "Black Screen of Deth" on Windows 7 but this is good to know in case I ever do, thanx again.
