Old Explorer path view - how?

    Agreed.

    You only need to click in an empty part of the Address bar to show the "real" path.

    Also as Dragon Drop posted, if you right click in the Address bar there is an option to copy the address in the context menu.

    In W7 there are two options (I assume it is the same in W8; I don't have it open at the moment):
    • One lets you copy the location (i.e. the folder)
    • The other lets you copy the address as text

    I'll use Alt-D ..but, good call – being able to click anywhere in the bar vs. hitting the down arrow on the right. And also the right-click “Copy address as Text” option.

    Actually you can still do that, you open Explorer and target your folder on the Navigation side, the left side, and use the Search Box on the Upper Right, I do it all the time, it finds what I'm looking for. You have to have the Navigation Pane open though. It is kinds lame they took out the popup right-click "Search" but that search box works.
