    Hello xasiotis,

    Since your Windows 8 will run fine in Safe Mode, see if troubleshooting using the tutorial below may be able to help ID what the culprit is.

    Troubleshoot Problem with Clean Boot in Windows 8

    Hope this helps,

    This influx in new users here is a sign of Windows 8 Adoption, which is great actually, welcome to Windows 8 Forums!

    Maybe something that loads in normal mode, is preventing normal boot, you can check that using either ccleaner or Windows Task Manager. It could be a virus, or an incompatible program, or maybe even a setting that Windows 8 does not like and it is kicking you out of explorer and rebooting. It could also be a "Blue Screen of Deth" as well, the blue blurry could simply be the BSOD screen not being shown all the way, and then the system restarts.

    If it is a 3rd party program or a setting you can check that in Safe Mode, disable everything that runs at startup that you dont need, see if you can nail it down that way.

    ..and a sign of the problems they are experiencing with it ...LOL

    @xasiotis
    Don't mind the sarcasm...
    That link Brink posted is quite comprehensive - checking the event log for errors usually is a good reference point

    I'll accept that welcome as one of the newbies myself. Thanks.
    Could also be that new computers are shipping with it and not so much acceptance of the system itself but that it can be tweaked enough for old school desktop people.

    Couldn't it also be a driver or hardware issue? Although it sounds like it was booting correctly for awhile.

    In msconfig.exe, kill all the startup programs and if it boots properly activate them one by one so you find out which one is trouble. If it still will not boot properly you are down to drivers.
    This is my first response for problems like this.
