Last time I checked it was also in the 60's. But it spent more time in the BIOS than it took for the boot per se.

Btw: the system records boot times in event viewer.

    Eventvwr
    Applications and Service Logs
    Microsoft
    Windows
    Diagnostics - performance
    Operational
    Event ID 100

The fastest I ever saw (on my Sony i7 Laptop with SSD) was 16 seconds.

Not good for me. But, than, I have installed quite a few programs in Win8 (Office 2010, Display Fusion, Logitech Setpoint, Paint.Net and on and on).
    Windows has started up:
    Boot Duration : 99819ms (99 819 milliseconds = 1.66365 minutes)
    IsDegradation : false
    Incident Time (UTC) : ‎2011‎-‎10‎-‎20T01:12:21.992655100Z

I can't test it right now, but I will after Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional is done reinstalling. I need it for my C++ homework, . I assume this testing application simply gets the time right before shutting down, and right after starting up then subtracts them.

Okay, so everytime I run Chkdsk it always finds errors on the disk. I am unsure why, but if I run chkdsk back to back, it will keep constantly find new errors every time. Also, the Chkdsk takes about 2 and a half hours to complete, and always gets stuck at 10% for most of that time. This is...

Hi My laptop reboot time has increased to a significant amount (about 15-20 secs, earlier it was < 5 secs) after I updated to Windows 8.1. I am talking about the time it takes to lock screen to appear after I power on the laptop not the time from logging in to desktop visibility. Still I have...

I describe myself as computer-proficient yet I am puzzled by what problem is causing my Samsung ATIV 500T tablet (with atom x86 processor and 32-bit Win8) to do these two things: 1. Whenever I reboot the computer and after it boots into the 'metro' start screen, a horizontal bar with the...
Just did a fresh install of Win 8 Pro on my Intel 520 180GB SSD. I installed the OS on the SSD first, once that was done I added in my 1TB HDD. I also disabled the hibernation thru command prompt and I'm guessing maybe this is why I'm having issue in Win 8. I can reinstall the OS again however my...
