    Cant make Administrative Choices/Click them

    hey guys

i recently upgraded to windows 8, and for some reason within the control panel, i click any options that have the admin shield icon next to them, when i click them, absolutely nothing happens

and i cant delete any folders from programdata/program files/x86 because it "requires administration action"

Also when removing items from the "uninstall program list" it requires administration action, i say yes, and nothing happens

Yet, running program's as admin from the desktop, seems to work

Lover the UAC settings, For files and folders you can "Take Ownership" from the menu of the mouse right click. Also are you sure you are in Administrator account ?

Solved Which of the three choices in Installation & Setup
I've downloaded Windows 8 and have been given three choices. If I take # 1 or 3, will that permit me to save that file to my present system and use it again if necessary? It would be nice to have a copy of that file. Advice will be appreciated.
