Every time I try to play any DVD in Windows Media Center, I get this error:
"CANNOT PLAY DVD
The DVD may be in use by another application. If all other applications are closed, the video resolution may need to be lowered or the display connection type may not support playback of the DVD."
I know the issue is not with my physical DVD drive because of the following reasons:
I'm curious if there's any way to get this to work on Windows Media Center on Windows 8, then, because I paid for the upgrade from Pro to Pro with Media Center, after all.

I know the issue is not with my physical DVD drive because of the following reasons:
- I am presently dual-booting XP Pro SP3 and Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. The former can play DVDs just fine.
- VLC Player on Windows 8 can also play DVDs just fine.
