Windows 8 goes slow after refresh

Hi everybody! Well, i have a new laptop (intel core i5 @ 2,6GHz, 4GB RAM) running windows 8 but because i had some issues such as: store couldn't work right, task manager needed more than 2 minutes to open, shutting down needed more time than windows 7, i decided to make a refresh (the function of windows, you can use to reset them somehow without losing your files). After that action, the problem got worse... It goes slow all the time, whenever i click anything. I've downloaded and installed all of the updates. Any advice of how can i get it fixed? It gives my nerves...
Notice that i have only the basic programs running and mcafee (i know it's "heavy" programme but i didn't have problem before the refresh)

Many new laptops run notoriously slower than expected right out of the box. This behavior is often caused by the bloatware add-ons and programs provided by the manufacturer and McAfee doesn't help either. Going forward, you might want to consider a true clean install but just make sure you have your factory restore discs available just in case you want to revert. Good luck.

As cents states, McAfee does not have a good rep.

    May try:

    - Check Event Viewer to see if any problems identified.

    - Disable McAfee and see if performance improves.

    - Run a scan with McAfee and an online free scan with or Kaspersky.

    - If necessary, back up your files and do a clean install as cents recommends.

I have read the tutorial (Refresh Windows 8 - Create and Use Custom Recovery Image) . Would I not get the same result if I created a Disk and Partition Backup using a program like Acronis or Easeus? That way I hope to keep all my initial system, personal files and third party applications.
