How Do I find my system 32 files

I'm trying to download some DLLs to use for my Paint Shop Pro program and I need to put them in my System 32 files, and I can't find System 32. I new at working with this Win 8 so please be gentle with me. I received the 2 dlls in a zip folder. I opened them and saved in a folder in Documents. I tried to right click on extracted file to find the System 32 files that way, not there. I went to extract and tried to extract to, and tried to browse to System 32, but I just could not find the System 32. I saw Programs and Programs (68) but no System 32 Would someone give me a hand please?

system32 is inside a big folder called Windows.

You might find the free program called classic shell will be helpful if you are stuck with windows 8.

Thanks so much David for the screenshot, and thanks to the others for you suggestions and ideas. Now I was told all those DLLs go in the SysWOW64. I can see that File in your screenshot David.
I still have one more question, Can I make a new Folder in the SysWOW64 File to put those DLLs in, so I can find at a later time without needing to look at every single file in that SysWOWy4 file?

    No.

If you put them in a folder they wouldn't work.

Thanks for the answer David. I'm glad that I have not already done that.

    Here is an example:

The program is looking for C:\SYSWOW\ BOO.dll.

If it is in a folder:

    C:\SYSWOW\FOLDER\BOO.dll

    It doesn't work.

I'm winging, learning by myself mostly trying to learn Win 8, because I really don't know anyone who is using Win 8 to give me a helping hand. I'm 73 and I'm a little slower learning now, and if I ask questions that may sound stupid to someone else please just bear with me. Thanks again for your patience answering my questions.

    There are no stupid questions.
Ask anything & someone will respond.
Like any public forum, there are smart-asses.
Fortunately most of the people here are nice & really try to help.
