My Computer desktop icon shown as 32bit on 64bit system

Hello,after doing a clean install of Windows 8 pro 64bit and installed windows updates.After the first restart "My computer" desktop icon shown up as "My Computer 32 bit"
..I had some customized context menu on right click and that dissapeared too,the context menu customization still exists on registry at the computer clsid but no luck with the "My computer 32 bit" desktop icon that Im having now.....Anyone had the same problem or know a solution?

Right click on the icon and select Rename. Change it to whatever you want.

lol my problem isnt the name... Before that happened I had a custom context menu and now is gone from right click but it is still on my computer clsid on the registry.. So is something more complex than just rename the icon.. Its not about the name...

If you did a clean install, why would you expect any customization to remain.
Not trying to give you a hard time, I just don't understand.

And this is weird because im looking at my computer clsid on the registry and the customization still exist there.

All that means is that the Programs are 32 bit. They'll be in the Program Files (x86) folder.

Wait, that's the "My/This Computer" icon? How did you get it there, the only legit way is to open Control Panel to Personalization and go to "Change Desktop Icons" and turn it on that way, was that how you put it there?

What does Control Panel/System say?

My system is 64bit. "my computer" desktop icon sudenly after restart renamed itslef to "my computer 32bit" my system is still 64bit no possible change there lol. Maybe the registry tweaks i made on my computer desktop icon context menu did that but i cant understand waht exactly.. Im looking at registry at my computer desktop icon clsid and the tweaks still there. Just not on desktop icon right click contrxt menu just my computer 32bit icon as the foto show and normal windows 8 context menu ... Sorry for my bad english...

I've never seen any x32 or x64 system say "32 or 64" bit Anywhere except for when you Right Click "My/This Computer" and hit Properties. ie, the System Info page.

Or, possibly if you have the 64 bit IE shortcut on the desktop.

Maybe it was the reg tweeks.

Yeah Im checking everything right now heh for sure was the registry tweaks but are on batch files written by me and I installed them in many systems but first time seeing that too.. Very disturbing :/

8 or 8.1? Because 8 acts more like Windows 7, and 8.1 does not. Thats just my observation after using both. 8.1 is definitely a very different OS than 8, one that I highly encourage everyone to just avoid using. . If you are doing this on 8,1, it's all unknown territory for these kinds of Macros/Batch Files.
