dear users:

sometimes when my computer goes to sleep and I reactivate it some of my task bar options are lost

The date & display is no longer present neither is the volume control or my wifi display.

also when this takes place I can no longer open any programs that are in the task bar I can simply click on them but nothing happens and when I attempt to open task manager it does not work I simply receive a black screen.

the only solution I have found so far is to restart and this solves the problem.

what could be causing this problem?

This is a new computer and I have only been using it for two or three days

any replies would be appreciated.

It sounds like a software issue. Anytime I get an OEM system, I make sure I have recovery discs, and then I wipe the drive out to do a clean install using a plain vanilla disc. You could try that, or, as suggested, take it back.
