    Programs you installed will go.
    Windows Updates will go.
I lost some image files too.

Back up everything you want to keep or you could lose it.

A refresh will only keep what came on the puter to begin with, it is supposed to keep your documents, but it doesn't. Some bloke in here, lost everything from a refresh, had to tell him, Sorry it's all gone.

Hi, I received a lot of information on that tread by several members (many thanks for it) but still I couldn't solve it. I know that that due too the fast startup that function doesn't work no more by some users. I introduced the correction bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy...
I have my second install of Win 8 (8250) on my Asus p7p55d-e Pro. I'm running the default Win 8 USB 3 drivers. On my first install I eventually tried Renesas Win 7 drivers but they made the system go crash happy, hence the fresh install. USB 3 runs fine (fast!) for my Corsair Flash Voyager...
I'm a bit  over these companies thinking we will continue to support their bad behavior. Perhaps we currently have very little choice. But, I am hoping that with the release of Windows 9 (in 3 years) that these vendors will come to realize we are not putting up with them. There are...
