Trouble getting permission into my External Drive

So recently had my old Windows 7 desktop crash on me. Got a new Windows 8 desktop and since then have gotten an external enclosure to try and scrap the files off of the old hard drive, but when trying to connect the Drive into the new computer I get this issue >> 406da2a65a966887ab9d90c8eaf63677.png >> cfe542bf267bd7d2e3d07b5d317c97f4.png I have tried many troubleshooting options and everytime I try to change permission I just get this error message. a66c2f145769b4fdc1c99b4efc8356a4.png >> b95f4478b90c4265e3eba041043caf3a.png

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update::: Was finally able to get into the drive, now the issue is getting permission for the folders >> 7fa9d7aa7d9a9bba85d8202306cc5809.png

If you hit Continue it usually lets you in after that. Usually there is no reason to save the Program Files folder, any Data that is relative to any programs in there, will all be saved in your User folder. And very few programs can be copied out of there and still work after moving them into Windows 8. Copying the folders back in after re-installing the programs may or may not be possible.

And because it was a system drive, many of the folders on it will be locked. Download Unlocker 1.9.x from Major Geeks - Be careful, the installer has a bad toolbar, it can be avoided by using custom install and deselecting it.

You can use Unlocker to delete or move important files. But after you have moved everything off of the drive, you should reformat it.

you could try the adding take ownership to the right click context menu,it might help .or it might not .

I get that message when I'm updating any of my programs I have installed, like VLC, or VLC Streamer Helper when it does the auto update. But I just hit Continue. Damn MS for locking up that folder anyway!
