    Can lamp damage laptop screen??


    hi, i recently bought a lamp for when im reading or whatever else i might be doing i dont know can the light from the lamp damage my laptop screen if it is shining on it???

    Not unless the lamp gives off heat. Some of my laptops overheat so bad that the screen becomes very hot anyway, and that's never caused any damage. I highly doubt it'd do any damage. If you're concerned just don't point the bulb at the screen, face it down on your desk.

alright, can someone tell me all the possible ways to adjust one's screen brightness within windows 8 on a laptop? for some odd reason the laptop only adjusts the brightness when on the battery and it does that intelligent adjustment crap(tried to find a more polite word....failed).
