    Lost right click

My right click has gone walkabout

I bought a new laptop with Windows 8 64-bit installed and I’mrunning MS Office 2010. Apart from that all I use is cloud-based apps.

So it was there initially (my right click), then it got realslow to react . . .like 10s or more, now its disappeared completely. Its gone in all of the MS Office apps and its disappeared from web mail from Chrome, IE and Firefox

Googling “lost right click” turns up lots of threads although most people seemed to have solved it by removing the Bluetoothdriver . . . I don’t (knowingly) have anything Bluetooth.

Any thoughts on how to retrieve my right click wouldgratefully be received.

What happens when you plug a USB mouse into it, still no right-click?

They have been making MS Lap[tops with touchpads lie Apple - To right click, it's a tap with two fingers. There should be an instruction manual for the gestures.

You didn't specify what brand, I'm assuming Asus, due to this issue - Asus have one huge touchpad and no buttons, a double tap on the right bottom is right click.

Aha . . . I changed the config of the mouse, applied the change. Then I re-changed the config, and my right click seems to have come back.

I was too hasty . . the problem has returned.

I use a Logitech wireless mouse and have configured Windows 8 to disable the laptop pad disabled when the wireless mouse is in use.

When the wireless mouse dongle is connected the right click function in gmail, MS word etc etc disappears.
However, when I remove the wireless mouse USB dongle, the right click comes back.

I've logged a support call with Logitech because it sounds like its more of a Logitech problem than MS. What do you think ?
