    Windows 8 Consumer Preview v.8250

Hi There, Is it Possible to run this Version for every day use ? I have it installed on an Old 478 socket P4 pc.
It runs real good, But not sure for how long.. Is there any other Version of Windows 8 that would run on a Older
computer with a P4 cpu ? Thank you for any help..

Hello Ghostman, and welcome to Eight Forums.

The Windows 8 Consumer Preview version expired on January 15th 2013.

You'll need to either purchase and install Windows 8 (retail), or you could install the Windows 8.1 Preview for now until it expires.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

You could open the Run (+R) dialog, and run winver to see the expiration date.

Plus, a Google search for "Windows 8 Consumer Preview expiration date" will give you plenty more references.

Most likely because it's already expired.

Did you use any exploits/cracks to install it other than a normal clean install?

You put it on a Socket 478 P4? I had it on a P4 but it was Socket 775... Ran good though.

How long do you get to use the 8.1 Preview?
