Not turn off

When I click on the shutdown button does not turn off system!
why?

What does it do? Have you looked in Control Panel / Power Options?

Is that a physical button right? Not the button you click on the screen...

Try to change the sleep button (same place, same screenshot) to shut down as well.
If that doesn't do it, I don't know what exactly controls that button.

No need for registry settings.

Everything is OK.
Because that is a laptop and you're running on battery.

Here I have that too: no shut down if I press the button: it sleeps/hibernates. That's how the laptop is set from factory. (BIOS power options?)

Try when you are running on AC power/cable and with no battery but I'm not sure if it will work.

After you've pressed the shutdown button, what does it actually do?

I have a similar problem in that it shuts down but doesn't power off the system. It stays in a semi shutdown position - the fan still runs and the screen goes off but it doesn't completely power off the way it used to at first.

Anyone else?
