Random Restarts - Kernel Power 41

Having recently refreshed my computer due to some BSOD errors, it seems my problem has been replaced with random restarts instead. These appear to happen at random, whether I'm gaming or just browsing the web. The only consistency with the restarts was an error in the Event Viewer which states that the source was Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task Category (63).

Aside from the random restarts, I've noticed instances where my computer has noticeably lagged to the point where I am unable to load games, but a quick restart often solves this issue.

I've also run a virus scan with no results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Specs: Windows 8 64bit, 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-3770K CPU 3.50GHz. This is a computer built for gaming, so it also contains a GeForce 660 Ti

The Random Restarts could be a BSOD automatically rebooting your system, so the BSOD issue may not have been totally dealt with.

I looked up the error, and most of the problems seem to be say it's a bottleneck of some sort in the Ram.

Check your Ram - Download Hiren's Boot CD from the link below and run one of the memory tests, see if it's good. It could also be two sticks of ram from different companies, even though they have the same values, one may be slightly different than the other. Or it may be one of them is marginal, take out one stick at a time until the system no longer BSODs.
