    About Partitions and BIOS


    Hi , I am new to this forum.I would like to ask what is OEM, EFI and unallocated partitions?How can i merge unallocated partitions into primary one???Another question is when my alienware restart , I just see my alienware Logo, cant enter to BIOS ??Computer logins smoothly just cant seem to enter BIOS.I will attatch an image of my disk management.

    Disk 0 looks like a Dell install of Windows 8 x64, which has only been partly deleted.

    Disk 1 is re-install of Windows 8 x64, incorrectly partitioned.

    As the new MOBO's now have a UEFI/BIOS firmware.

See attachment: I just bought this used computer. I was preparing to use Macrium to run a disc image and saw all these partitions. What are they for. Are they all necessary? Should I just image the entire HD as is or should I rearange something here? Thanks, Bill
To me, this is very confusing. One partition might have been a Gateway restore but the techs that installed Windows 8 formatted the hard drive, they said, so it couldn't be that one remains, unless they weren't honest about it. after instaling windows8 RP i can see only system partition which i format through the installation. I install clean copy nor upgrade. I have two diferrent partitions with my private data and I can't see these partitions....please help urgent !!! thanks
