Hello! I've got a question about windows 8.1, so I thought I would post it here. Yesterday I realized that my computer doesn't seem to know which edition of Windows its using. It's activated and seems to be working fine otherwise. Is this normal?

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
No, I definitely downloaded it directly from the store (not the iso file). The only changes I made to the software were from a tutorial on getting rid of the watermark that comes with 8.1. It was from here:
Here's the link I used to the non ISO download. I should have just downloaded it and burned it onto a disk, but I was thinking the msu file would be quicker.
And theog, you might be right, but mine was activated AND I got a watermark. I think I'm going to do a system restore to try and put it back to when this first happened. I'll see about getting a screen shot too of the activated watermark Windows 8.1.
