When I make an error and click the wheel on my mouse the screen shrinks and I have to click again
to restore the screen to normal size.
Is there any way to stop this from happening? Win 8

Looks like you have some kind of screen resizing bound to your Wheel while in Desktop. Check the settings in your Mouse software and in your Video card software, I don't know where it would be. It may be part of the system and it would be in some program installed by the OEM, so check all those as well. It may only be changing the size of your desktop font and icon sizes, I've seen that as well. In the Start Screen, the Wheel key is generally bound to sliding the screen left and right.
