    I am running win 8 pro upgrade and keep getting warning that I do not have administrative authority to do certain things, Why is that???

    That is quite normal in some situations. Now, sometimes you can just invoke the admin privledge and complete the task and sometimes it is not that simple. Gives us some specific examples if you require further clarification. Good luck.

    Hello Gary,

    You would need to take ownership of the "WindowsApps" folder, then set it's permissions to "Allow" your account or administrators group "Full Control" first. Afterwards, you should be able to open/access it.

    Yah but it sounds like they never gave their User Admin status, and you an only add it in Safe Mode Admin.
