Yep, that's what the .vbs file will do. You'll have to manually set Windows to boot back to normal mode. That's why the context menu is better to use since it makes it easier to go back to normal mode.

The best option would be to use OPTION ONE to have "Safe Mode" added to your choose OS screen at boot. Even if you do not have a choose OS screen at boot now, you will afterwards when "Safe Mode" is added. Since you want Safe Mode with networking, select "Network" instead of "Minimal" at step 7 in OPTION ONE below.

I don't have that boot manager, I don't need it, I only have one os & I should be able to call the boot options with shift+f8,
so the issue remains there.. ur option is a stitch & I don't want to be stuck on such screen & want normal starts Brink.

I'm not sure what you mean. You're not stuck on the boot screen at all when adding Safe Mode.

You will have 30 seconds (or what you set) to select what you want to boot to (Safe Mode or Windows 8) before Windows 8 starts automatically.

Do you mean you would like safe as one of the options you can select after pressing f8 at boot?

You could disable the new Windows 8 boot screen to have the old black "Windows Boot Manager" screen that you could see how it may work for you.

If you wanted more than one Safe Mode option in the "Choose an OS" or "Windows Boot Manager" screen, then could just repeat the tutorial below to add the Safe Mode you select at step 7.
