You might want to shut off some of those startup programs, like Internet Download Manager and Yahoo Messenger. Does Fifa run under Steam? Well, Steam will not work right unless your Dot Net 4 and above are in perfect order. Also, any time you get a BSOD, you should do an external disk scan, because when windows 8 blue-screens it can sometimes damage your drive. But it is easily fixed, you can download Hiren's Boot CD from the link below, boot to it, go to Dos programs, go into Hard Drive tools, and you can start by seeing if GWscan detects your drive. GWscan is on the 3rd page of entries. If that does not find your drive, you can use the tool for the maker of the drive which should be included in Hard Drive tools.
You want to see if the Disk program detects any read errors, if it finds them, it usually sets it up to repair it with a full disk scan, that will take about an hour for new machines and 500 GB to 1 TB hard drives.
You can also download GWscan or WDdiag or Seagate Seatools from their websites. GWscan is on the Gateway site, but it can check a large number of drives. But that's what I would do first. If your hard drive is OK, then I would start by removing some of those startup items.
