No problem, I know I had to download whole windows XP for some HP laptops because only those ones would install. Also remember that long time ago, at the time of 486s, only windows 3.1 directly from Dell could be installed on their computers. Just one of the reasons I'd rather build my own PC then to buy a brand name one. The other one is that brand name ones usually have BIOS so poor that not much could be done with them except just basic settings.

Hi, For the past month or so, I've been having spontaneous (but inconsistent) BSoDs pop up on this laptop (It's only 2 months old and is a high-end gaming laptop) all with the same error of DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (0x9f). I haven't been able to pinpoint what's been causing it, as I've used a...
This problem seems to happen when I play videos, or games. it doesn't happen every time, but it has happened 4 times in the last week, and started after resolving another BSOD issue, which was apparently driver related. As this seems to happen with games, and videos, I'm thinking it may be...

Win 8 x64 blue screening (NDIS.sys at fault) in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Hello, I have had a couple blue screens over the past few days. I went to the trouble of running windbg to find out the cause but all I can figure out is that it is caused by ndis.sys. I don't know how to specify the symbol path for Windows 8. I would like to learn how to find the source of a...
