    NSIS error on startup

So today, I installed Comodo internet security and Firewall. It's all installed and working, but upon startup I get this error
    "NSIS Error
    Error launching installer"
    Any ideas?

Yes, it goes away after I uninstall Comodo. I'm going to reinstall and see if this reoccurs.

I just found this same problem on Win7 64 after installing Comodo. When I checked the even logs, i found it was conflicting with Nod32 AV, causing all sorts of errors.

Once I removed Comodo, no problem. As an aside, I don't like the new Comodo V6 - I'm still running 5.x on another machine.

Hmm, where did you look in the event viewer to discover this?

it was the last about 2 dozen lines of errors... all at the same time (more or less)... once Comodo deleted, checked event log (I'm talking about Windows event log, not Comodo or anything), no errors on reboot.

It seems Comodo conflicts with some other programs from Googling this problem, but not sure why it would conflict with them. I suspect Comodo security features were conflicting with some of the AV components, which makes sense - sort of.

On the other hand, I run Comodo v5 on anothe rmachine with Nod, and have enevr had a problem.

Windows 8 has a good firewall and anti-virus. Why install Comodo?

Sorry, my post was meant for Rymax99, the originator of this thread.

Also, "b) Its a WINDOWS firewall... that should day it all -_-" doesn't say much to me. The windows firewall is very good as is Windows Defender which comes with 8. The Win 7 firewall is also good and MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) is a good, low impact anti-virus. I just don't see the need for Comodo or McAfee or Norton or Kaspersky. All put a considerable load on the system for what I see as little gain. This is my personal opinion of course but it's shared by a lot of people.
