Hello, as you can see I have a problem with my Windows 8. I downloaded the Comodo Firewall which managed to somehow not allow me to open any programs or do anything, so I went into safe mode and did a system restore. After the system restore, I realized that every few minutes or so there's a weird glitch with the desktop. I'll have a Google Chrome window opened up, then when I minimize it, the desktop is a blank purple background with a blank brown taskbar. When opening up folders or the control panel and doing some exploring, the folders/control panel gradually slow down then eventually it will crash. My services and controller app/services.exe seem to be hogging lots of CPU when the glitch occurs. Sometimes a blank brown taskbar will just show up out of the blue over my Google Chrome window or my title bar where all the tabs are will keep flickering as if it's being switched to another application, but it's not, instead it screws over my typing. There's also tons of Windows Problem Reporting processes appearing out of nowhere in the task manager.
(I attached a screenshot of what the glitch looks like)
I have a 64-Bit, 6 GB Ram Lenovo ideapad with an Intel Core i5, don't know if that helps since I'm not a computer expert. Is there a way to fix the problem without having to refresh the system? I really don't feel like downloading all my programs all over again, especially since some of them have a 1 time use license. Thank you!
