Windows 8 Jump List

I have been missing my MS Word Jump Lists something awful since using Win 8 full time and I spent some time trying to simulate them on the Start Screen. I have found something that comes close and would like a sanity check from the community.

In the Win8(C)/Users/MyName/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Office/Recent folder are stored all of the files that show in a Jump List for an Office application in the File Explorer Task Bar, if that application is pinned to the taskbar. I am referring of course to Word, Excel, etc. One can go to that folder named "Recent" and right click and Pin to Start. Then, when you click on the tile called "Recent" on the Start Screen you have your choice of all the files in the jump list. Just click the one you want to work on and it opens in the appropriate app just as if you did this on the desktop taskbar.

Comments? Improvements?

Thanks,
SR

Mystere, please follow my description and you should be able to replicate the Tile in the Start Screen that will result in the files in the Jump List of any program pinned to the Task Bar in the Desktop. This is not exactly a Jump List per se, but it does do what I was trying to do which was allow me to open a recently used file directly from the Start Screen rather than navigating to the desktop first.

    Other Info
I did a fresh format and install of Windows 8 64 Bit Pro. Sorry but I couldn't live without a start button so I have installed the Start8 start menu which is great. I try sometimes not to use it but find metro frustrating to find programs as I have many. I will use Metro for apps only and desktop of serious computing.
