Annoying problems.

I'm having a really annoying problem whenever I'm using the magnify glass when installing something it refuses to work. And as I use it a lot on the HTPC set up its a huge pain in the rear. Never once had a problem with windows 7 refusing to work when it pleases.
another problem I've been having is after breaking my mouse and having to use my phone and Ipad as a wifi mouse I'm getting similar problems as I do with magnify glass. When I open any type of setting software like Ccleaner or msi afterburner the mouse does not function until I alt tap on to a different window. Doing the same thing whenever I install something as well just stops working. Tried two different wifi mouse apps and both with identical results. And guess what, it worked fine on Windows 7:mad:
Any ideas guys? I'm really considering dumping this awful OS.
Thank in advance.

You using Remote Mouse? Maybe there are settings for the Magnifying Glass that have to be set in 8, I'll check.

WOW! what a mess, Magnifier brings up a huge WHITE block that interferes with everything, you can't see through it! I'd simply not use it in Windows 8. Keep it for 7, I don't know what the deal is with that huge BLOCK. I suppose thats supposed to be the magnified area. Well, its not the same program as was in 7, maybe you can copy the Magnifier files over from 7 and see if they work in 8. I'll try to find out what they are and test it.

It's the Magnify.exe file- I tried running the one from 7 in there, but it is blocked. It needs to be owned by Trusted Installer and I can't add that owner to the file. Sorry, maybe someone knows how to set the Magnifier in 8 to work properly. Sounds like you are getting the same thing I am though, huge white block? Maybe the one from XP may work. I'm gong to try a few things.

Ok, try this - Set the View to "Docked" and see if that works. I'm still getting the white block but now it is a strip above the screen.

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
In the developer preview I had a similar problem as you mention but whilst not as smooth as on windows 7 it works fine, apart from what I mentioned. And I'm not going to use dock mode because its crap.
Ive just had enough of this OS.
So many annoying f'ing many problems and annoyances.
Side bars keep popping up because I went slightly to close to the edge of the screen.
Unnecessary steps to shut down PC/log off etc.. Making it near impossible to shut down using just the keyboard. Or if there is a way to open the sidebar with the keyboard then it's just another hassle what Windows 8 seem be championing.
Broken magnify glass.
Not booting into your account properly at times and you're just left with three blocks in the cancerous metro page.
And many other problems I've faced in Windows 8. Just a glorified tablet OS. The only noticeable improvement is the task manager. The rest is just a cluster **** up. First W8 and then Xbox One. Well played Microsoft, well played :slowclaps:
Back to W7.
