    The Store?

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't find the place on the Store to download 8.1. I've done a search several times, but I just don't see it.

I must be misunderstanding something. To get it from theStore, I thought you just open Windows and when in the Start Page go to Store. Idid this and did not see it there.

    Hello Frank,

Scroll down a bit to OPTION ONE in the tutorial that Horace posted above. It'll help show you the steps to take to upgrade to Windows 8.1 Preview from the Store.

I'll look at that as well, cos I looked in the store and it was not there, they hide it in a secret place or something? I've already downloaded the ISO - Whaddya think, Brink, should I try it? I will if you say to hahaha.

    Hey Jon,

It wouldn't hurt to give it a try with the Store if you like.

If not, at least you got the ISO already to use instead.

I noticed the Preview has an installer, this is what adds it to the store, or does it apply the upgrade like a service puke pack?

    Jon,

Going the Store route, you download and install the KB file from the link at Microsoft that then makes the Windows 8.1 Preview update available through the Store (like when updating apps) after the restart.

Ah - Maybe I will try it that way, I've never installed an upgrade like that before. Is this like a "Windows Anytime Upgrade"?

Nar, it's almost like using the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant, but only though the Store app updates instead.
