Installed Windows 8.1 Preview and Windows won't start

Installed Windows 8.1 Preview and after reboot Windows won't start. Get screens saying "Preparing Automatic Repair," then "Diagnosing Your PC," and then a screen titled "Automatic Repair" which tells me my PC did not start correctly and gives me the option of pressing "Restart" or "Advanced Options." But to access the Advanced Options I need the Administrator password which, for the life of me, I can't remember. I used another computer to reset my Microsoft password online, but it doesn't take that password either. Help!! I don't know what to do at this point.

Restore the backup image you made before you upgraded to 8.1 and try again?
