That's just too weird. What are you running hardware wise?

And if this is a desktop are you running any software on it to emulate a mobile device - cell/tablet?

You might check your zoom as well - View, Zoom.

BTW how did you install the update?

I seriously doubt if IE11 had anything to do with the issues you describe. You might want to check your cooling, perhaps go through the system with a can of compressed air.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll open up and see but I remember same thing happened when I was using CP as well.

EDIT: I have found another instance of IE11 running as a background process when CPU increases.

Wenda, from my point of view, the All Apps screen you show is so jammed with stuff it's useless. How do you ever find anything?

and by memory ... ah, there's the rub. My memory seems to pick and choose when it will function and when it won't. I still find it much easier to use the Start menu to find things, even for those I can't remember what they are called.

I think having a choice is good though, should make everyone happy.

This is why I suggested that more customisation options would be good. I'd like to hide the extraneous icons/tiles, and only show those I choose. But I do feel that, if the traditional menu isn't returning, this could be a worthwhile substitute with a bit more development.

It's already much better than 8 in this respect.

    Wenda.
I just right click tiles that I don't want to see on the all apps page, 'open file location' then move them somewhere else.
(or delete the link files or help me files)

My sound used to work in the consumer preview fine but since I upgraded to the Release Preview I need the volume max and headphones in to hear anything. Any help appreciated. If more info is needed just ask.
5510We have info that Windows 8 Release Candidate will be called "Release Preview" and that will be launched sometime in late May or early June. But we must say that all these are just rumors. 5509 Source: winunleaked
