Hello Everyone i need some help...I have an Old Pc (Pentium 4 Which Requirements are as followed)

Processor:-Inter(R)Pentium 4 3.40GHZ,3.39 GHZ

Installed Ram:-2.00GB

Directx Installed: Version 11 with wdm drivers installed

Hard Disk-40 GB

System Type:-32 Bit operating system (running windows 7 Ultimate)

And the requirements posted on microsoft website(Windows 8 system requirements - Microsoft Windows)

If you want to run Windows 8 on your PC, here's what it takes:

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
  • Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
Can I Run windows 8 on my pc Please answer it as soon as u can i m waiting for your help

Don't get me wrong, we're here to help, but if you know the minimum requirements and your system specs you can answer that question yourself. Moreover if your rig is Windows 7 capable, so it can run Windows 8 too.

I Created the second thread because first i thought u guyz answer very late so i thought that i should inform u guyz on every post::D i can get the answer myself but..first i run it like 3-4 months ago but my hard disk curropts due to windows 8(reboot prob)
thats why i was asking and no i didnt Use Standalone Windows 8 Upgrade advisor

I can get answer myself but b4 around 3-4 months i installed windows 8 and it curropts my hard disk due to reboot prob and after i install windows 8 it runs fine for the first time and when i restart my pc or shutdown and reopen it shows me prob of rebooting and i need to reinstall and i re installed windows 8 for lyke 25-30 times-and now that cause my pc hard disk curropts :shock:

Whichever version you have a legit license for is what I would strongly suggest.

It's hard to say why that happened, but your hardware can easily handle Windows 8. My mom's computer is an old Athlon64 1800MHz | 1,5 GB | VGA GF5600 256MB and it runs very well. Anyways this is just my point, the choice is yours ! Good luck !

Go for it! Just make sure it's what you wanna do. I was intending to install 8 on my Dell Inspiron 9400 Laptop, but it crashed. I ran the Windows 7 Advisor and it told me all I needed was another stick of Ram.
