Are you running an account that is Limited? Log in AS Administrator and grant that user Admin Privileges - Then open up the User CP and pull that UAC slider all the way down.

jeevanbh, you cannot limit a request for full credentials to program installation only. The only possible way is to request a password for any action that requires administrative permissions. If it's ok with you, import the attached REG-file and reboot.
XweAponX, I think the question was how to request a password, not turn off UAC.
It sounded like he was being asked for his Admin password, which sounded like either a limited account or a UAC setting which was set too high. But your solution should work. I've never seen this happen, so maybe the apps were installed under an Administrator account and he is trying to use them in a limited account.
If you are running Windows 8 Pro, just get the My Computer Icon on the Desktop which you can do by Right Clicking on the Desktop Screen and choosing "Change Icons"
From there, you right click on My Computer and choose "Manage" - Scroll down to Local Users and Groups and click on the Administrator User. Right click on that, and set the password to whatever you want. It may not solve the issue unless he merges that reg entry though.
