Windows 8 not storing any program passwords

Hi all,

Since my upgrade to Windows 8, my computer is not saving any program passwords. The two that I notice are for Windows Live Mail, and Gotomypc. Logs are reporting encryption issues.
I have checked, and drive encryption is turned off.
WLM searches have lead me to a registry key issues from 7, but that value is correct.
Basically, when I enter the password, the program works, yet it will not store the password.
With WLM, any time I try to send or receive, I need to enter the password again. With Gotomypc, I can't connect without being at the computer to register it (again).
All research has lead me to the registry not saving the data.
Any thoughts?

Adam

That could be an issue with those particular programs, win should not have a say in there.

Wait for another couple of days, IE11 released with 8.1 might fix it.

Thanks for the input.
The computer is also not storing my user password. So while I'm doing normal tasks, I also kept getting a flag alert in the task bar to enter my user password (the one to log into Windows). Since, I have switched my user account to a local account, and the flag has stopped.

Thank you too for the info brummyfan, maybe 8.1 will help.
