Solved Old desktop pic on new drive??

I've just reinstalled my win8 operating system onto a new 1tb drive and after it installed my old desktop pic was on the new reinstalled drive. How is this possible unless my del laptop has somehow retained my old image? My other thought was that after reinstallation I signed back into my Microsoft account and this has somehow recognised my old desktop? If the latter is so then why retain just the desktop image and no other images?

Yep...that's it...your MS is synced and saved for you. I'm not sure if I still like that or not.

Ok so does that mean only Microsoft associated content is associated and not personal files that were on old drive ie pics, documents etc. sounds dumb and uneducated I know but couldn't marry up where it was pulling my desktop pic from.

If you used your Microsoft/Skydrive account, it automatically sync EVERYTHING, including Desktop Wallpapers. I sync everything but the Wallpapers.

"Marry Up" - I Like that hahaha. It will save all of your personal info, but not any of your Documents or Images. I may be wrong about that - No, I'm not. If you get into "Change your PC settings" from the Charms Bar, there is one entry that says "Sync your Settings" - That's where you can set up what you want to Sync.

I had specific Themes I was using on each of my PCs when they were Windows 7, and I noticed that suddenly all of my PCs had the same theme even though I had never copied the files over to the other ones. I had three windows 8 PCs at that time... If I had wanted to use the same theme on all of them I would have kept it like that.
