Win+Tab works fine for me. The difference between it and Alt-Tab being Win+Tab rotates each window whereas Alt+Tab shows me a select through which I can cycle:

Although, I must posit Win+Tab only works with opened Metro Apps on Win8 8102.109, in my experience.
Perhaps you have no Metro Apps open?

true. no Metro apps open.

I'm well familiar with the optical difference between Win+Tab and Alt+tab.

Sorry, karl, I didn't mean to imply you weren't. Just relating my experience. Mea Culpa.

I'm under Metro right now and Win-Tab is cycling properly.
