When I open File Explorer on the left-side (Windows 8)

under Favorites I had a download folder and now it is gone.

Please tell me how to get it back under where it says Favorites. It did read Favorites, Desktop, then I think Downloads, Recent Places, then Sky Drive.

I still have yet to install or keep Adobe Flash Player screen from popping up. I'm sure the Adobe question should be posted someplace else.. Sorry

    Hello TC,

Check to see if using the tutorial below to restore the default Favorites may be able to help.

Favorites - Restore Default Favorite Links in Navigation Pane - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Hope this helps,

Perfect Shawn.... It was so simple, but made me feel so clueless after you told me.

I really liked XP and being disabled I couldn't raise the money in time to purchase a Windows 7 machine. As far as the Adobe problem that I'm having, it says that it's installed but every time I click on a link a screen pop's up and tells me to install Adobe Flash Player. It is really a pain and other things.

    Thanks for the reply,

    TC

    You're most welcome.

If you're using IE10, then Adobe flash player is already installed and updated through Windows Updates. Any pop-ups you get in IE10 wanting you to install Flash Player are most likely advertising spam and should not be clicked on or installed.
