A friend of mine has asked my to repair a Windows 8 box.
He improperly installed Ubuntu, then used BCDedit to create another boot entry for it (note that the new boot entry was NOT marked as default, Win8 is still the default).
After a reboot, black screen. No signal out to the monitor. I have changed ports, swapped monitors, etc, so it's obviously not a screen issue.
So here's the deal. I need to create a Windows 8 recovery disk but all my machines are Windows 7 or other OS's.
Can you guys either enlighten me as to how to make a win8 disk from win7, or can you tell me how to fix the machine?
Note: the machine in question is a Lenovo H430, Core i3 processor, 6GB RAM, and 1TB HDD.
Thanks for your help!
