    Windows 8 Internals gurus sought

I am looking for people to review a description of Windows internals for the forthcoming new edition of my Operating Systems textbook. The current edition has a 33-page description of Windows 7 internals. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to carefully read all or as much as you are willing to of the current description to check for needed revisions for Windows 8, technical errors, missing topics, and typos. In return, you will be acknowledged in the Preface and receive a free copy of the book when it comes out early 2014. I would need feedback in about 6 to 8 weeks.
This is a technical rather than a user book, so you need a technical background on Windows 8 internals. Topics covered include overall architecture, process/thread management, concurrency mechanisms, memory management, process/thread scheduling, I/O management and file management.
Please reply directly to me at:

rather than posting on the group discussion. Thank you!

Greetings, Quite new to Win 8. Win 8 appears to have built in to the software a system reformat method. However, I would like to back the image up after I have a few programs installed. Is there a good image backup software that someone can recommend for Windows 8? Thank you. Sbolton

system shutdown advice sought in General Support

I bought my online upgrade and let it proceed from W7 and later downloaded and burned the .iso, so what I have is a true upgrade from W7 and not a clean install. I really have no big issues, just anoyances really, with my live tiles. My Live tiles don't update them selves unless I open them...
