Hi friends,
I am having problem with the touch keypad. It is not displaying some buttons such as that of alt, caps , windows key etc. They are all present on the On-screen Keyboard but not on the touch keypad. Although I am using touch keypad without any touch devices, I like the touch keypad more than OSK due to it's sliding feature. Please can anyone tell me how to bring full layout to touch keypad.I think Windows is not providing me any option cause I don't have any touch enabled devices on my PC.Anyone know how to do it from registry or configuration file or anything like that. Many thanks.:D

I have this touch keypad:

And I want to change it to like this:

Many thanks.

Hi Vadikan, Thanks for reply, But I think the software you mentioned works for only On-screen Keyboard Which I don't want ( It already has all the keys). I want to customize the layout for Touch Keyboard. Many thanks.

Hi @Vadikan, I tried it but it only changes the layout for on-screen keyboard. not the touch keypad. Many thanks. I think the settings for touch keyboard are shown only when you are are using a tablet or a touch enabled PC.I am trying to find out how to bring the settings to normal non-touch PC. Many Thanks.

Hi Pranavg1890

Thanks for trying. Could you clarify how you're
using touch keypad without any touch devices

And can I see the screenshot of Control Panel - Language?

Hi @Vadikan, I meant that I do not have any touch enabled devices like monitor or a tablet pc on my computer. I have a standard PC with mouse and keyboard. But even then I am using the touch keyoad with my mouse beacuse it slides automatically and can be attached to taskbar. On-screen keyboard is missing these functionalities.I you do not understand what i am saying here another post similar to this:

http://www.eightforums.com/tablet-t...eyboard-option-change-keyboard-type-gone.html

The option to make the touch keyboard display full layout which includes all function keys, windows key, alt key etc is not displayed
on a standard pc. It is displayed only on Tablet PC's.

Here the difference (notice the General settings):

1) on a tablet pc or touch-enabled computer:

2) on a standard non-touch pc:

This is what I was saying. Many thanks. Microsoft needs to give the options for touch keyboard on a standard pc also. Many thanks.

Also by touch keyboard I mean like this:

This is the one available on my pc:

And I want to change it to like this:

Many thanks.

Also, @Vadikan , the software you told only works for this keyboard:

I am trying to find if there is a registry hack or something like that to enable settings for a full layout touch keyboard.
Anyone know about it?

follow the instructions

Hi Pranavg1890,

Thanks for all screenshots. I'm still not seeing the only one I asked :)
And can I see the screenshot of Control Panel - Language?

Let me show you my screenshot to get my point across.

touch-custom-layout.png

What you see is a custom EN keyboard layout created with the tool I suggested in the post #2.

I've added it and removed the standard one. You're telling me it doesn't work for you, but I am afraid you're missing something.

That brings us back to the post #2. You know what to do (and I assume you realize that "custom" means you have to change something in the default layout). After that please show me the requested screenshot and your touch keyboard screenshot again.

Sorry Vadikan, all my fault. Really Sorry for not following your Instructions correctly.I did not replace at all the language and input method in control panel. Now I created a custom keyboard layout using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator and now I have all the keys on my keyboard. Also , here are the screenshots you requested.(Will also be helpful to other viewers facing same problem that's why I am posting them).

Here is my shot of Control Panel - Language Settings now:

And the touch keyboard also displays full layout:

Many thanks.
