hello there,

quick question... underlying all this metro stuff, is there still a stock/vanilla interface available somehow? when working on a desktop/laptop i really would love to stock notifications.. take the bitlocker dialogues for example.

i mean, i guess one can deal with it (like a boss!), it is definitely no dealbreaker. but still, it is ugly as ...

"old/clean" versus "metrofied"

Some system dialogs have changed in Windows 8, including "Open with", WU notifications, etc. There's no supported way to change this.

I second that answer. It's just the way it works. So you just have to get used to it.
